We're Adopting!!

Well, if you've ever wondered if Isaiah and me were ever going to have kids...the answer is YES!
After questionairres, reference letters, medical exams, and extensive background checks our adoption application has been approved!!! (what a relief to pass a background check... :)

We couldn't be more excited to adopt. I'm so lucky to have a sweet husband who wants a family as much as I do.

We need your help to let as many people know as possible! One-third of all adoptions come through a friend-of-a-friend who knows someone who is placing a baby for adoption. You could be the one who helps us start our family (and you'll receive multitudes of cool points for helping us out :)

Here is what you can do...

  • Do a posting on your blog about us. This will let all of your friends know that we're adopting. That way if they know anyone placing a baby for adoption they can refer them to our blog and adoption profile to check us out.

  • Add a side link on your blog with our adoption information (see mine on the top right). This also lets people know about us.

  • Add a link to our blog in the signature line on your email. (Then anyone you email will know we're adopting :)

  • Hire a sky writing airplane ....(jk but that would be cool)

You never know who will see our info and know someone placing a baby.

Let me know if you have any questions. We can't thank everyone enough who has prayed for us. We know there is a special baby (or babies...twins would be great) that are supposed to come to our family!

Thanks for all your help!!

Much Love,

Rosie and Isaiah

Baby Gavin

On Sunday Becky, Jason, Isaiah and I made the treck down to Alpine to visit Paula and check out her new little cutie. Since Paula doesn't have a blog I thought I'd do the honors of posting some pictures :)

For those who haven't seen Paula and Eric's adorable baby this is Gavin Bryce.

Isn't he cute! The shirt says it all...

There is nothing I love more than seeing Isaiah hold babies.
Can't decide which one I like more... I guess I'll take the one in the stripes.

Mystery Roll of Film

So I had a couple of dispospable cameras laying around for a while. (One of them is lost and I can't find it anywhere!) I decided it was about time to take this roll in before it got lost too and find out what was on it - even though I'd only used half the camera. The pictures were perfect considering Halloween is next week!

These are our cute neighbor girls who we like to have come over and play.
Last Halloween we had them come over and paint pumpkins. Aren't they cute!!

Pumpkin heads! They'll give the legend of sleepy hollow a run for his money :)

Really big pumpkin muscles!!

The girly's love Isaiah and snuggled up on the couch with him to watch a sssscccarrryyy movie :)

This picture was the biggest surprise on the mystery roll. I had forgotten all about it! Michelle (on the left) and I went up to Ogden to bid our old college roommate Candice farewell before she and her husband moved to Ohio. Ahh college. Those were good times!

Pink Power

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month Verizon Wireless allowed us to wear jeans if we dressed in PINK to show support. Of course my whole team participated. Not that suppporting Breast Cancer isn't a worthy cause but I think most of us would do about anything to wear jeans to work :)...ah the joys of a business dress code.

It is a great cause however and we were all happy to support. Much love to all the survivors.

The question is...How well can you play the air guitar?

Last week it was Customer Service week at work (our rockin' version of employee appreciation week). We had a Rock Star theme and were encouraged to dress up (which I took full advantage of since we normally have to dress business professional!) I seriously have the best job in the world.

A complete PUNK looks includes...
  • 1 Price is Right T-shirt from college roommate roadtrip -still intact with original name sticker
  • 1 Pair of dangly skeleton earrings from elementary school
  • 1 Pair of Isaiah's old socks-cut off and embellished with originally artwork
  • Blue hair gel...purchased in college for USU spirit but never used (yes the spikes held all day!)
I asked Isaiah how I looked and he said...the real question is, how well do you play the air guitar?

...isn't he funny??!!

My hair from the back...

This is my team at work. We organized a team air hockey tournament. Spencer (the tall guy behind me) won. We later figured out he had atleast a good 2' wing span advantage and could reach practically across the table...LOL jk, Spencer rocked!

My coworkers Julie and Ben dressed like Garth and Wayne...party on Garth. Party on Wayne!

(LOL, we made Julie put a paper cup in her pocket incase anyone spewed :)

They had Rockband set up in the Cafe. I must say we did a mean rendition of Blue Oyster Cult's Don't Fear the Reaper!

PS...I was going for a 70's Rockstar but totally ended up looking like Lenny Kravitz...ha ha

The highlight of the week was Battle of the Rockbands. Each manager team assembled a band and faced off. My boss took it super serious and even had band auditions.

...yes that's my boss in the women's leopard velour pants....

It all payed off when we won the coveted Rock Legend trophy (which I'm pretty sure was refurbished from some kid's blocks and a trophy picked up from the DI).

Conference Center...Ghost Buster Style

Last night Isaiah and I got to help clean the Conference Center. We vaccuumed a whole section which probably has between 1-2 million seats...or so it felt :) Seriously it's 26 rows with about 40 seats each...so according to my calculations we vaccummed around 1040 seats!

We got to use these super rockin' vaccuums that strap on like back packs. The vaccuums totally look like something from Ghost Busters! While one person vaccuumed the other person managed the long cord (which was a very important job).

Isaiah with his Ghost Buster vac pack....

Ever wonder what the Conference Center looks like when nothing is going on at 12 o'clock at night?

...uh where did all the seats go where the General Authorities sit? It's so cool how the can assemble and disassemble every thing!

We had a good time. If you ever get the chance to clean the Conference Center it's cool to see what it looks like without thousands of people. I'm just glad we didn't have to clean the bathrooms...yuck!

Making Space for Freezer Meals

On Tuesday night my friend Bri and I took a freezer meal class (also called once a month cooking). The lady who taught the class is also a professional organizer. She had her freezer organized with plastic bins that were labeled and everything. I was in ahhh and a little freaked out at the same time.

Apparently if your freezer looks anything like mine it is also not up to snuff....

Yeah...It's seen better days....

Stay tuned for new pics-I'm going to have to organize this mess someday...I'm all game for any excuse to buy plastic bins...

Girl Friends Lunch Out!

Last week I got together with my two oldest girlfriends. We have been friends since...forever! We all grew up in the same ward. Becky and I met before Kindergarten because our moms would swap baby sitting and Paula and I met the first day in Kindergarten at the Yellow Triangle table (isn't that adorable we still remember our table shape!)

We went to the mall, then out to eat at Paradise Bakery (yummmmm). It was so fun to talk and catch up. Getting together was a MUST since Paula was obviously pregnant and I wanted to see her before she had her baby (her tummy was so cute it made me teary eyed). It's a good thing we didn't put it off much longer! She had her baby 6 days later. Little Gavin Bryce is soooo cute!
