Elbow deep in pumpkin goo

On Wednesday night we went to our friend's Heather and James' house to carve pumpkins.

We went from this...

To this...(personally I love scraping out all the goo)
James on the other hand does not.

And the finished products all a glow!

I think this has been the most relaxed Isaiah and I have been since January when we went on paddle boats in San Francisco! Carving pumpkins was soooo relaxing! Quiet house, good friends, and a large pumpkin to carve.
Hope everyone has a fun Halloween!

Haunted Graveyards...ooo...ooooohh.

We try to never let a festive holiday go by without getting together with the Pace family. We've done gingerbread and Valentine houses with them and decided we needed to switch things up this year. Prepare to be frightened by our Haunted Halloween Graveyards...

Don't really be scared. We took halloween candy, frosting, and graham cracker and did our best to make some scary creations...

(Seriously I hate when people post side ways pictures but I could NOT get this one to rotate and upload correctly...I can't believe I'm posting it like this :)

Isaiah and Brookie are always a great team.

Here is my attempt at a coffin that's been broken into (most likely by grave robbers).

We had a few mishaps during our hauntings. Kaylee coughed up an eye and sprouted an extra one on her forehead.

Scott went a little conservative on his. I think he was going for the Arlington Memorial look.

Kaylee and Melissa's....

Mine and Alyssa's....

We had tons of fun as always. Thanks guys!

Fish are Friends not Food

Isaiah and I spent the afternoon today at the Museum of Natural Life down at Thanksgiving Point.

Looking for love in all the wrong places...

Isaiah's not willing to stand by while a raptor smooches his wifey.

I'm not so sure that humans evolved from chimpanzees...

Isaiah most likey evolved from the T-Rex (note the fearsome claws)

I evolved from the peaceable Triceratops :)

We were watchful around the dinosaurs but Isaiah unwittingly swam into a sharks' mouth. (Don't forget fish are friends, not food).

I thought I'd try my skills as a paleontologist. I think I found something!

Until the storks comes....

Does anyone ever wonder what Isaiah and I do since we don't have kids? It seems like everyone we know is in the midst of raising their kidlets. People always tell us to really enjoy the time we have with each other before our kids arrive (in our case we really are waiting for the stork to drop a couple off :)

Here is a little bit of what the currently childless wonders have been up to :)

A few weeks ago we went to the Salt Lake fair with some friends.

We decided it would be fun to race down the Yellow Slide (of doom)...

I am second from the left. Note that Isaiah (3rd from the left) was about half way down before I got the guts to start going. I screamed like a little girl the whole way down. It was really funny and went MUCH faster than I expected. I saw a little girl go down when I was walking up the stairs and since she didn't die when she hit the bottom I figured I could also manage.

Needless to say I lost :(

Heather and Isaiah couldn't resist paying $2 dollars to see the world's smallest woman...

How tall was she? About 2 feet tall. Heather and Isaiah both came out laughing - which the rest of us thought was terrible, until they told us when they walked back to see her there was a 2 foot tall person counting a whole stack of cash. They said it was REALLY awkward! What did they expect? LOL.

We went to Wheeler Farm last week to enjoy the last of the beautiful weather.
This is one of our favorite get aways. Nothing like a bag of stale wonder bread and an afternoon at Wheeler Farm.

Isaiah is so good with animals they eat out of his hands...

I thought the 2 ducks in the middle where quite posh. They had these enormous wads of feathers stuck to the back of their heads. I imagine they're the envy of all the plain ducks. They must have flown in from Hollywood or something.

Last but not least...here is a picture of where our future home will be. We've picked out all our options and signed all the paper work and are just waiting for the city to approve the building permit before they break ground. Pretty much it's just a bunch of dirt right now but in 4 or 5 months this little plot of land will be home!
