Growing so fast!

Addison seems to have grown up so much in the last few weeks! She is doing lots of new stuff. Isaiah and I just crack up watching this cute kiddo :)

Isaiah was working on some laundry and Addison figured out how to pull herself up so she could check out what was in the dryer. The only problem with that is she hadn't figured out how to get back down :)

Luckily dad was there to help her out.

Previously Addison just followed us around the house and always kept close to us. Now she realizes she can explore the house on her own. She loves to roam the hallways and explore any open door. Her favorite spots to jet to are the kitchen pantry and the laundry room ;)

Addison learned how to climb last week! All week long we entertained ourselves by setting up obstacle courses of pillows, couch cushions, and a case of toilet paper for her to climb up and over. She's pretty good and it! We're super impressed how fast she picked up the whole climbing thing.

We've also caught this little cutie sleeping with her bum up in the air. Seriously...how adorable is that?! We also find her sleeping underneath her giraffe's legs quite a bit too ;)

Addison is a sippy cup pro. She still drinks her milk from a bottle but when she eats solids we give her a sippy cup. It took her a few days to figure out how to bite the straw and suck at the same time. I was worried it was going to be to complicated and bought her some different sippy cups, but sure enough she figured it out! She looks so grown up drinking from a cup.

Addison has a funny fear/obsession with the door stoppers. When she passes by one she'll stop and stare at it for a while, then tentatively reach her hand out to it deciding if she really wants to touch it. She do this for 10 or more minutes sometimes. If her foot accidentally hits it and it makes a 'twanging' sound she jump really hard and sometimes cry. She spends a lot of time checking this one out since it's in the kitchen by the pantry (which she loves to try and raid).

This is one of Addison's favorite poses (note the door stopper in the background ;) When she is crawling around she'll stop and pose like this to see if you are watching her. She is also obsessed with sticking out her tongue and licking her face ;) She is such a funny little girl!

Zaddison explores the Attic

I mentioned a while ago that my sister Nicole is writing a children's book. The character is named Zaddison (after her favorite niece Addison of course ;) Zads is an adorable little monster who will go on all sorts of adventures.

She's illustrating the book too and this is one of her sketches. I just love it!

Zads is trying to get into the attic to explore the sounds that she hears in the night.

You can check out her progress at http://themintedmouse.blogspot.com/

Go Jazz!

Our friends gave us some Jazz tickets on Monday so for family night we all went to the Jazz game. I was worried that Addison would have a hard time sitting still for a few hours but she did awesome!

When we first sat in our seats I think she was a little overwhelmed by all the people and how big the Delta Center is. After a few minutes though she LOVED looking at all the people and smiling at the people behind us :)

Addison even snuggled up to me in the 4th quarter and ZONKED! I don't know how she falls asleep in the noisiest places! It was lots of fun spending time togther at the game:)

Princess and the Pea

For the last few months we've been working on finishing the basement. We have an extra mattress for the spare bedroom that we didn't know where to put. For a while we had it leaning against the wall in our bedroom (which looked pretty dorky). The other day Isaiah decided it would be fun to just put it on top of our mattress so our bed would be really high.

The first night I crawled into bed I realized this is probably what the princess and the pea felt like :) Our bed is about 4 and a half feet high!

a pic of our princess ;)
I got Addison laughing REALLY hard when I was taking these pics. It's so funny we she gets going because she'll laugh so hard her face turns red!

I need to learn that you can't rotate videos...sorry it's sideways but it's pretty funny to hear her laugh about nothing :)

Trouble underneath our tree

Let's just say these pictures are self explanatory...

LOL. I guess we'll have to wait to put presents under the tree until Chrismtas Eve.

That guy in the big red suit

Our play group had lots of fun at the Festival of Trees last week. I've been lots of times but never have done any of the kids stuff. I even had no idea that Santa would take time out of his busy schedule to be there.

I must admit I was a little disappointed that Addison didn't cry (is that horrible?) Addison just stared at Santa with awe! I think she told him that for Christmas she wanted a cell phone and a remote control since mom and dad never let her chew on theirs ;)

Adds enjoyed looking at all the gingerbread houses...

It's always fun to see the tree that Isaiah's work decorates. This year they did a 50's malt shop theme. It was super cute.

The one thing I was super excited for was to go inside the bubble maker. I know it's lame but every year I see kids in there and I thought it looked way cool. I'm glad Addison wanted me to go inside with her ;)

Thanksgiving

Addison hosted Thanksgiving at her house this year :) Here she is waiting for everyone to arrive.

She enjoyed chomping on some celery sticks...

I even bought her a jar of turkey dinner baby food....yummmmmm LOL.

K, the next series of pictures is funny. This is a glimpse into Addison's baby ninja skills.
She sees her target....

and attacks before you can see it coming!

Ouch!

REALLY Ouch!!

I love that Isaiah keeps looking at the camera the whole time until this shot. So funny.

Grandpa Prows always hands out his Christmas presents at Thanksgiving. We all received a card with some money. Addison even got her own card with $20 in it!

A group shot with Isaiah's family. Everyone was there except Isaiah's oldest brother and his family.

Addison had lots of fun hanging out with everyone. Her aunt Leslie really adores her...

She wasn't sure what to think of the scratchy stuff on uncle Jere's face. She kept reaching out and touching his goatee ;)

And nothing is better than some snuggly time with uncle Nathan!
