Tonight I had one of those moments that I've looked forward to for years. For so long I've been excited to do all sorts of things with our kids- someday. Well tonight someday finally hit me. We carved pumpkins with some friends and I got to have Addison help me. I know it's probably silly, but it's so awesome to finally have a daughter that we can watch grow and learn. We love this little kiddo more than words can express.
It was so fun to help her put her hand in the pumpkin. I totally thought it would gross her out but she loved playing in it!
Addison was so cute and just played in the goo as I scraped around the inside.

Our lives have been so blessed by having this sweet spirit in our home. She is everything that we hoped and wished for. Isaiah and I have been so blessed through adoption. In fact, sometimes I think it's funny that Addison is "adopted" because we know she is really ours. We were just lucky enough to get to share her with her amazing birth mom before she came to our family. We're so grateful that the Lord in his infinite wisdom chose to send Addison to us through her.
She even checked on her Dad every now and then to see if he needed some help too.

Adoption is a blessing and I'm grateful the Lord picked us to build our family this way.

What a sweet post! She is such a cute little girl. I just looked up the Pumpkin Walk. Maybe we can figure out a way to take the kiddos. Let me know if you're interested!
